The Kreutzwald Hotel Tallinn features one restaurant – the Nipernaadi Restaurant in the atmospheric cellar.
Following in the footsteps of the Estonian writer August Gailit´s most famous character “Toomas Nipernaadi”, the “Nipernaadi” restaurant has travelled around Estonian to gather culinary inspiration from Natural farm foods of Estonia and has met local Estonian farmers and fishermen who farm natural foods with responsibility and the utmost care. We source a lot of our vegetables, herbs and meats and forest berries and wild mushrooms from our Vihula Manor eco farm in the Lahemaa national park.
All this was done so we can serve you pure natural ingredients created into unforgettable dishes by our passionate creative chefs Toomas Lats and Evgeny Cherdantsev. Our menu is simple, with familiar flavours and pure.Our food is made from fresh, seasonal and mainly local ingredients. The fish comes from the Lake of Peipsi and the gulf of Pärnu, vegetables, herbs and salads from Vihula Manor and Kopra Cattle Manor, chicken from North Estonia, beef and pork from South Estonia – the menu consists of the special textures and flavors from different parts of Estonia. Every ingredient has a source which has a story and the farmers who cultivate them, some of which their portraits adorn the walls of the restaurant.
Toomas Nipernaadi travelled around Estonia, told stories with the aim to get people to look at their life in a different way. We also want that our guests could look at Estonia’s pure ingredients differently and enjoy a travelling story on the plate before your eyes and in the local specialty fruit wines, beers and vodkas, brewed in small breweries and distilleries.
The restaurant also serves a specially designed Unique Buffet Breakfast: fresh, natural, healthy and creative, to give all guests the best possible start to a new and exciting day.
